# bet365 review (2026)

> bet365 is the best betting site in Australia for most punters. It covers AFL, NRL, cricket and racing with same-game multis, cash out and live streams, publishes its maximum winnings for every sport, from $500,000 on AFL head-to-head and line markets to $1 million on NRL main markets, and takes stakes from 20 cents. Its chat and phone lines are open 24/7, deposits start at $5 and withdrawals are quoted at 1 to 4 hours. Its record is lighter than those of Sportsbet, TAB, Ladbrokes and Neds: one NT fine of $13,430 in 2025, plus an AUSTRAC audit, investigation and enforceable undertaking over its anti-money-laundering systems. The catch: like every licensed bookmaker, it only takes in-play bets on sport by phone.

## What is bet365?

bet365 is an online bookmaker run in Australia by Hillside (Australia New Media) Pty Limited, with its registered office in North Sydney. It ranks #1 in [our ranking of the best betting sites in Australia](https://safebet.ai/au/sports-betting/).

## Is bet365 licensed in Australia?

Yes. Hillside (Australia New Media) Pty Limited (company number 148 920 665) is licensed and regulated by the Northern Territory Wagering Commission, and bet365.com.au is on the register of licensed interactive gambling providers kept by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). Disputes you can't settle with bet365 can be referred to the NT Wagering Commission.

Its record is lighter than those of the other big bookmakers we checked: Sportsbet, TAB, Ladbrokes and Neds. In a dispute decided on April 9, 2025, the NT commission fined it $13,430 for not stepping in appropriately with a customer in March 2021, declared the customer's later bets unlawful and said the deposits should be returned. The anti-money-laundering regulator, AUSTRAC, has also acted: its release titles show it ordered an audit of bet365's compliance with financial crime laws (a release online by November 2022), then opened an investigation (by March 2024), and that bet365 is to overhaul its anti-money-laundering systems under an enforceable undertaking (by July 2026). We couldn't read those releases themselves. We found no ACMA action against bet365 since 2022 in the releases we could read. ## Sports, markets and features

bet365 has the widest range of markets in our ranking. It covers AFL, NRL, cricket and Australian racing alongside a long list of other sports, and its same-game multis take up to 12 selections, with Same Game Multi+ combining popular markets from selected events into one bet. Cash out is available on selected events and markets, on singles and multis, and eligible customers can watch live streams of a range of sports, plus horse, harness and greyhound racing on Sky Racing.

Online bets on a sporting event that has already started are banned in Australia, so bet365, like every licensed bookmaker, takes in-play bets on sport by phone: its Telebet line (1800 365 365) is open 24/7, and its app's Quick Code lets you place in-play singles and multis over the phone. Our guide to [sports betting law in Australia](https://safebet.ai/au/sports-betting/is-sports-betting-legal/) explains the rules.

## Odds and limits

bet365 doesn't publish its margins, and we don't collect its odds: its terms ban automated tools that copy or extract its content, odds included. Our [margin calculator](https://safebet.ai/au/sports-betting/margin-calculator/) shows what any market costs you.

It does publish its limits, more fully than any other bookmaker in our ranking. Maximum winnings per 24 hours, excluding your stake, are $500,000 on AFL head-to-head, line, totals and futures markets and $50,000 on other AFL markets; $1,000,000 on NRL main markets and $200,000 on others; $500,000 on cricket; and $2,000,000 on metropolitan racing win and place bets. The minimum stake is 20 cents.

## Deposits and withdrawals

You can deposit from $5 by debit card (prepaid cards included), Apple Pay or Google Pay, from $10 by PayID, from $50 by PayPal or from $100 by bank transfer, which takes 2 to 10 banking days. Credit cards can't be used for betting in Australia. bet365 doesn't charge for debit card deposits.

Withdrawals by bank transfer, debit card, PayPal or PayID are quoted at 1 to 4 hours, from $5 by bank transfer or card, and bet365 says it aims to process a bank transfer within 2 hours of your request. There's no daily maximum, your account must be fully verified first, and winnings go back to the method you deposited with where possible. One fee to know: after 365 days without activity, and 28 days' notice, bet365 starts deducting a $5 monthly administration fee.

## App and experience

The bet365 - Sports Betting app is rated 4.65 out of 5 from 67,603 ratings on the Australian App Store, and bet365's global app is rated 4.6 from 266,626 ratings on Google Play (October 23, 2026).

## Safety, responsible gambling and support

You can set limits over 24 hours, 7, 14 or 30 days, with a 7-day wait to raise one, and turn on reality checks. You can take a time-out of 24 or 48 hours, 7 or 30 days, or a custom period, and exclude yourself for 6 months, 1, 2 or 5 years, or permanently. bet365 checks BetStop, the national self-exclusion register, when you sign up and every time you log in, and emails a monthly activity statement whenever you've had stakes or returns in the previous month.

Live chat and phone support (1800 200 365) are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and a responsible gambling team is available 24/7 on 1800 400 365. bet365 aims to answer complaints within 48 hours.
