# OLG.ca review (2026)

> OLG.ca is the safest-feeling choice in Ontario: it's run by the province's own lottery corporation, charges no withdrawal fees, aims to pay out within one business day, offers live chat 24/7 and a phone line until midnight, and makes you wait 7 days before a higher limit takes effect. It ranks third because its library is smaller, at 1,000+ games, withdrawals go only to a bank account, one a day, and live casino isn't in its app. It's for Ontario only.

## What is OLG.ca?

OLG.ca is the online casino of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), the Crown agency that conducts and manages lotteries, casinos and online gambling for Ontario. OLG launched PlayOLG.ca in January 2015, merged it into a redesigned OLG.ca in October 2020, added live casino games in October 2021 and live game shows in June 2022. It ranks #3 in [our ranking of the best online casinos in Canada](https://safebet.ai/ca/online-casinos/).

OLG.ca isn't part of iGaming Ontario's private market: the AGCO says iGaming Ontario "does not conduct or manage online gaming at OLG.ca". OLG runs it directly, and the AGCO's Registrar's Standards for Internet Gaming apply to it as they do to private operators.

## Is OLG.ca legal?

Yes, for players who are 19 or older and physically in Ontario every time they play; OLG checks your location. Lottery games are open from 18. Players outside Ontario need their own province's site: see [online casino laws by province](https://safebet.ai/ca/online-casinos/are-online-casinos-legal/).

## Games

OLG titles its slots page "1000+ Games", and its lobby is grouped into exclusives, new games, slots, blackjack, live casino, arcade, progressive jackpots, tables, roulette, baccarat and instant games. Copyright lines in the lobby show studios including Light & Wonder, IGT, Games Global and Evolution, and there's a Hacksaw Gaming category.

- **RTP on every slot:** each game page shows its return to player, along with its paylines and stakes. Cash Eruption, for example, shows an RTP of 95.0% with bets from $0.20 to $40.
- **Live casino:** live dealer games run 24 hours a day, except live blackjack, open from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. ET. Live casino isn't available in the OLG app.
- **Jackpots:** progressive jackpot families such as King Millions, Powerbucks and Megajackpots.

## Deposits and withdrawals

| | Deposits | Withdrawals |
|---|---|---|
| Methods | Interac e-Transfer, Visa Debit, Visa, Mastercard, Debit Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay | Electronic funds transfer to your bank account only |
| Minimum | $15 | $2 |
| Maximum | $999,999 a deposit, 10 deposits a day | No maximum, one withdrawal a day |
| OLG fees | None | None |
| Timing | Instant | OLG aims to process within one business day |

OLG's banking page adds that players report withdrawals taking "as little as one day and as long as 5 business days", and that verifying a new bank account usually takes less than five business days. Credit-card deposits may be treated as cash advances by your card issuer, and gift cards can't be used online.

## App and experience

OLG's app, OLG Lottery & Online Casino, is rated 4.8 out of 5 from 389,088 ratings on Canada's App Store and 4.7 from about 121,000 on Google Play (October 22, 2026), the most-rated of all the gambling apps we checked. Those ratings include lottery players, and live casino isn't in the app, so the website remains the fullest way to play.

## Safety, responsible gambling and support

OLG has the strongest player protections in our ranking:

- **My PlaySmart tools:** deposit limits, casino loss and spend limits, and playing-time reminders. Lowering a limit is immediate; raising one takes 7 days.
- **My PlayBreak:** a break from OLG.ca for anywhere from one day to five years.
- **BetGuard:** iGaming Ontario's central self-exclusion covers every regulated online gambling site in Ontario, OLG.ca included.
- **Players under 25:** since June 2026, OLG requires deposit limits for online players under 25 as their play increases.

We found no AGCO penalty concerning OLG.ca. Support is the best we've seen in Canada: live chat for online gaming 24/7, French chat on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET, and a phone line at 1-855-978-7529 from 8 a.m. to midnight.

If gambling stops being fun, ConnexOntario is free, confidential and open 24/7 at 1-866-531-2600. Our [guide to gambling help in Canada](https://safebet.ai/ca/guides/gambling-help-canada/) covers every province.

## Who is OLG.ca best for?

- **Ontario players who want the province's own site**, with no fees and generous support.
- **Players who want firm limits**, which take a week to raise.
- **French speakers**, with French chat on weekdays and a French site.
- **Not for** players outside Ontario, players who want to be paid by Interac or PayPal, or those who want live casino in an app.

## Our verdict

OLG.ca is our pick for a government-run casino and the most protective one we review: no fees, 24/7 chat, phone support until midnight and limits that take a week to raise. It ranks third because private rivals offer bigger libraries and faster, more flexible payouts. Compare it with them in [our Canadian ranking](https://safebet.ai/ca/online-casinos/), or see the [best OLG.ca alternatives](https://safebet.ai/ca/online-casinos/olg-alternatives/).

OLG says it aims to process withdrawal requests within one business day.
