Matchbook review 2026
A betting exchange with bet builders, multiples and live racing streams, plus Matchbook Predictions: yes/no markets on sports and politics, run with ADI Predict Street, from the operator that bought the Betdaq brand.
Matchbook is the UK exchange that works most like a prediction market: Matchbook Predictions, live with ADI Predict Street by June 2026, prices sports and political outcomes as percentages and asks you to pick yes or no. Its operator, Triplebet Limited, has held a Gambling Commission licence since 2014 with no regulatory action on the register, its exchange app is rated 4.75 on iOS, and any customer can use its API with their usual login. It ranks third because it's the smallest of the three by app ratings and we couldn't check its commission rates, payments or support from outside the UK.

What is Matchbook?
Matchbook is a betting exchange: you back or lay outcomes against other customers, set your own odds, and pay a commission instead of a bookmaker’s margin. It’s run by Triplebet Limited, a company registered in Alderney, which the Gambling Commission’s register also lists under the trading name easyBet. Alongside the exchange, it runs Matchbook Predictions and a casino, and in October 2026 it agreed to buy the Betdaq brand. It ranks #3 in our ranking of the best betting exchanges in the UK.
A note on our sources: Matchbook’s websites and help centre were blocked to us from outside the UK, so this review relies on the Gambling Commission’s register, Matchbook’s app listings and developer documentation, Internet Archive copies of its sites and Betdaq’s closure notice.
Is Matchbook licensed in the UK?
Yes. Triplebet Limited has held a Gambling Commission remote operating licence since November 1, 2014 (account 39504, licence 039504-R-319407-024). It covers a betting exchange (betting intermediary) and casino from that date, pool betting since October 2015, virtual events since August 2020 and other betting on real events since December 2023, and the register lists matchbook.com and predictstreet.matchbook.com among its addresses. We found no fine, settlement or other regulatory action against Triplebet on the Commission’s register, which covers decisions since November 2023. Check any site with our UK licence check.
Markets
Matchbook’s exchange app lists football from the Premier League and Championship to the Champions League, Europa League and Carabao Cup; horse racing, including Cheltenham, Royal Ascot and Goodwood; boxing; darts; and F1, NFL, cricket and golf. As well as back and lay bets, it offers bet builders, multiples and in-play betting, and its listing says you can watch every horse race and greyhound race live.
Matchbook Predictions is its prediction-market-style product, run with ADI Predict Street. Every outcome is priced as a percentage chance, and you choose yes or no against other players. It was online by June 27, 2026 at predictstreet.matchbook.com, where Predict Street x Matchbook billed itself as the official prediction market partner of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and got its own iOS app on July 10, 2026. Its listing names football, tennis, rugby, cricket, boxing, darts, the NBA, the NFL and golf, and goes beyond sport, with markets on general elections, leadership races and referendums.
Developers can use Matchbook’s API straight away with their usual login, within standard limits. Above them, an API plan costs £100 for every million data (GET) requests in a calendar month, while placing bets is free at a reasonable frequency; the pricing page was last updated more than five years ago.
Liquidity
Matchbook is the smallest of the three exchanges we rank, judging by its apps: 1,616 ratings on the UK App Store, against 4,634 for Smarkets and 30,330 for Betfair Exchange, and Matchbook Predictions had no ratings yet. Fewer users mean fewer bets waiting to be matched, especially in quieter markets. We couldn’t get matched-volume figures to compare the exchanges directly.
Commission and fees
We couldn’t check Matchbook’s commission rates: its website and help centre were blocked to us from outside the UK, and the Internet Archive’s copies show only the page shell. Its exchange app listing promises “low commissions” and “a small commission for facilitating the exchange”, and the Predictions app “a small commission paid on winning bets”. Check your rate in your account before you bet; our commission calculator takes any rate under “Another rate”.
Deposits and withdrawals
We couldn’t check them either, for the same reason. As at every licensed site, credit cards aren’t accepted. Check the methods, limits and times in your account before your first deposit.
App and experience
Matchbook Betting Exchange is rated 4.75 out of 5 from 1,616 ratings on the UK App Store and 4.4 from 739 on Google Play. The Matchbook Predictions Betting app, released on July 10, 2026, had no ratings yet (October 22, 2026).
Betdaq: what changed in October 2026
Betdaq, another UK betting exchange, closed on October 21, 2026. Its operator, Exchange Platform Solutions, said it would cease operating Betdaq following “the acquisition of the BETDAQ brand by Triplebet Limited (trading as Matchbook)”. The deal covers the brand name and domains, not Betdaq’s customer accounts or database: Betdaq customers can log in to withdraw their balance until November 4, 2026, and must register separately to use Matchbook, which may relaunch the Betdaq brand later.
Safety, responsible gambling and support
We couldn’t read Matchbook’s safer gambling tools or support hours from outside the UK. As a Gambling Commission licensee it must verify your age and identity before you bet and take part in GAMSTOP, which blocks you from every licensed site at once.

Who is Matchbook best for?
- People who like yes/no markets priced as percentages, on sports and politics.
- Racing fans who want live streams on an exchange.
- Developers who want to try an exchange API without paying up front.
- Not for bettors who want the most people on the other side of their bets, or published charges before they sign up.
Our verdict
Matchbook brings the prediction-market format to a licensed British exchange, with a clean regulatory record and well-rated apps. It ranks third because it’s the smallest of the three and we couldn’t verify its commission or payment terms. Compare it in our UK ranking, or see the best Matchbook alternatives.
