What is an odds calculator?

An odds calculator is a must-have tool for any sports bettor. It lets you quickly convert betting odds between formats — American, decimal and fractional — and instantly calculate your potential return and net profit based on your stake.

Different countries use different types of odds:

  • 🇺🇸 American odds (e.g. +150 or -200) are standard in the United States.
  • 🇪🇺 Decimal odds (e.g. 2.50) are common across Europe and at online sportsbooks.
  • 🇬🇧 Fractional odds (e.g. 5/2 or 4/5) are traditional in the UK and Ireland.

Whether you’re comparing bets across different platforms or tipsters — or just want to understand how much you stand to win — this tool saves you time and ensures accuracy.

Use our odds calculator to convert and calculate instantly

Our odds calculator does the heavy lifting for you. Enter your odds in any format and your stake, and you’ll see:

  • 🔁 The converted odds in all three major formats
  • 💰 Your total payout
  • ✅ Your net profit and the implied probability

It’s fast, free and built for beginners and experienced bettors who want clean, instant answers.

How to convert betting odds

American → decimal: +odds ÷ 100 + 1 (+150 → 2.50)
American → decimal: 100 ÷ |odds| + 1 (-200 → 1.50)
Fractional → decimal: numerator ÷ denominator + 1 (3/2 → 2.50)
Implied probability = 1 ÷ decimal odds (2.50 → 40%)
Payout = stake × decimal odds · Profit = payout − stake

Straight odds vs. parlay odds

Wondering whether this tool works for single picks and parlays? It does. Here’s the difference between the two:

✅ Straight odds

A straight bet is a single wager on one outcome. The odds calculator instantly shows your return based on your stake and the odds you enter — perfect for moneylines, spreads and over/unders.

🔗 Parlay odds

A parlay combines two or more picks into one bet. Use our parlay calculator to stack multiple selections, then compare the combined odds here. With both tools working together, you can break down complex parlays or simple straight picks in seconds.

FAQ

Betting odds explained

What does +150 mean in betting?

+150 means a $100 bet wins $150 in profit, for a total return of $250. Positive American odds show the profit on a $100 stake.

What does -110 mean in betting?

-110 means you have to bet $110 to win $100 in profit. Negative American odds show how much you need to stake to win $100.

What is implied probability?

The break-even win rate built into the odds: 1 ÷ the decimal odds. For example, -110 implies 52.4%, so you need to win more than 52.4% of those bets to make a profit.

How do I convert American odds to decimal odds?

For positive odds: 1 + (odds ÷ 100). For negative odds: 1 + (100 ÷ the odds without the minus sign). So +150 becomes 2.50 and -200 becomes 1.50.

What are fractional odds?

UK-style odds that show the profit relative to the stake: 5/2 means you win $5 for every $2 you stake, which is 3.50 in decimal odds.
