bet365 or Sportsbet?
Checked
bet365 is the better choice for most punters: it ranks first in our Australian ranking (9.1) to Sportsbet's third (8.4), with a much lighter regulatory record, maximum winnings published for every sport and chat and phone support around the clock. Sportsbet is the pick if you want the most-rated app in our ranking, $5 deposits by every method and cash out on same-game multis for AFL and NBA games, but it has the heavier record: a $2.5 million ACMA penalty, an AUSTRAC enforceable undertaking and NT fines of $405,640 in 2025.
The only fine we found against bet365 since 2022 was $13,430 in an NT dispute in 2025, though AUSTRAC put it under an enforceable undertaking over its anti-money-laundering systems. Sportsbet paid a $2.5 million ACMA spam penalty in 2022, had its own AUSTRAC undertaking, and was fined $92,500 and $313,140 in the NT in 2025.
