Casino payments in Spain: Bizum, PayPal and limits

Spain's licensed online casinos commonly take Bizum, PayPal, cards and bank transfers, and many add Apple Pay, Google Pay, e-wallets and Paysafecard. As of October 1, 2026, all five casinos in our ranking accept Bizum, but bet365 Casino, 888casino and Botemanía use it for deposits only. Every licensed site caps deposits by default at €600 a day, €1,500 a week and €3,000 a month, and pays out only after verifying your identity.

Key takeaways

  • All five casinos in our ranking accept Bizum and PayPal as of October 1, 2026, but bet365 Casino, 888casino and Botemanía take Bizum for deposits only.
  • Stated PayPal payout times run from 1–4 hours at bet365 Casino and up to 8 hours at Codere Casino to under 24 hours after approval at Botemanía.
  • Every licensed operator caps deposits by default at €600 a day, €1,500 a week and €3,000 a month; from March 25, 2027, limits of €700, €1,750 and €3,300 (per four weeks) also apply across all operators combined.
  • Casinos can't pay out until your identity is verified; bet365 Casino and Botemanía cap deposits at €150 until your documents are checked.
  • Players classed as intensive or at-risk can't deposit by credit card under Royal Decree 176/2023.
  • None of the five lists its own fee for standard deposits or withdrawals, but banks and some e-wallets may charge, and two charge inactivity fees on long-dormant accounts.

Which payment methods do Spanish online casinos accept?

Online casinos licensed by Spain’s gambling regulator, the Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling (Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego, DGOJ), commonly accept Bizum (Spain’s instant bank-payment app), PayPal, Visa and Mastercard cards and bank transfers, and many add Apple Pay, Google Pay, e-wallets and Paysafecard vouchers. As of October 1, 2026, all five casinos in our ranking of the best online casinos in Spain take Bizum and PayPal: bet365 Casino, 888casino, Botemanía, Betway Casino and Codere Casino.

Beyond those, the options vary:

  • Apple Pay and Google Pay: both at bet365 Casino and Botemanía; Apple Pay only at 888casino. Neither is listed by Codere Casino or Betway Casino.
  • E-wallets: Skrill and Neteller at bet365 Casino, 888casino, Betway Casino and Codere Casino; MuchBetter at Codere Casino.
  • Trustly: shown by Betway Casino. At bet365 Casino, it appears only as a processor for bank-transfer payouts.
  • Paysafecard: prepaid vouchers for deposits at all five.
  • Cash: Codere Casino takes deposits at its retail venues and pays out up to €1,000 in cash there, to be collected within 72 hours.

Some welcome offers exclude deposits made with certain e-wallets, so read an offer’s terms before you choose a method; our casino bonus guide explains what offers must disclose.

Checked on October 1, 2026, on each operator’s Spanish pages. Betway Casino’s figures come partly from an archived January 2026 copy of its casino page, because its live payment pages couldn’t be read when we checked. Where an operator’s own pages disagree, the table shows the slower time or the higher minimum.

Bizum works for deposits, not withdrawals

Bizum is accepted by all five, but at three of them it only works one way. 888casino says Bizum “solo está disponible para depósitos” (is only available for deposits), and bet365 Casino and Botemanía pay your winnings by bank transfer when you’ve deposited with Bizum. Codere Casino’s withdrawal page doesn’t list Bizum, and Betway Casino’s withdrawal options couldn’t be verified.

Bizum deposits also have their own caps: €10 to €1,000 per deposit at both bet365 Casino and Botemanía.

PayPal and fast payouts

PayPal is accepted by all five. bet365 Casino lists 1–4 hours for PayPal withdrawals, with a €15 minimum withdrawal and a €30 minimum deposit; Codere Casino says up to 8 hours; and Botemanía says under 24 hours after an approval step of up to 24 hours. 888casino’s payout table says PayPal pays the same day, while its help center allows 2–3 business days.

Codere Casino, which scores highest on payouts in our ranking, also offers an instant bank transfer (“Transferencia RÁPIDA”) that it says takes under 2 minutes at most banks, though it doesn’t guarantee the exact time. Its PayPal payouts go only to the PayPal account you deposited from.

Deposit limits apply at every licensed site

Every licensed operator caps your deposits by default at €600 a day, €1,500 a week and €3,000 a month (Royal Decree 1614/2011, art. 36). You can lower these limits at any time. Raising or removing them requires passing the DGOJ’s responsible-gambling tests with no risky behavior in the previous three months; the change takes effect within three days, and you can’t raise them again for three months.

From March 25, 2027, Royal Decree 520/2026 adds default limits across all operators combined: €700 a day, €1,750 a week and €3,300 per four weeks. Per-operator limits stay in place. Either way, the high maximums on payment pages, such as €40,000 per card deposit at bet365 Casino, are subject to these limits. Our gambling help guide for Spain explains how to set limits and self-exclude.

Identity checks before you withdraw

Licensed casinos can’t pay out until they’ve verified who you are. Spanish rules make identity verification and a check of the RGIAJ (Registro General de Interdicciones de Acceso al Juego), Spain’s national self-exclusion register, conditions for paying any prize, and registrations that can’t be verified within a month are canceled (Royal Decree 1613/2011, arts. 26–27).

In practice:

  • bet365 Casino and Botemanía let you deposit up to €150 before your documents are checked, but not withdraw.
  • Codere Casino pays nothing until verification is complete and you’ve placed at least one bet; it compares a selfie with your ID, with a manual check after three failed attempts.
  • Betway Casino may ask for a copy of your DNI (national ID card), a bill showing your address or a recent bank statement.

Winnings go back to you, not to a third party. 888casino pays withdrawals first to the methods you deposited with, and Codere Casino accepts only your own cards and asks for a bank document showing your name and account number the first time you withdraw by transfer. Players flagged as at risk may only use payment methods in their own name (Royal Decree 176/2023, art. 30).

Credit cards are restricted for some players

Royal Decree 176/2023 on safer gambling bars credit-card deposits in two cases:

  • Intensive play: if your net losses reach €600 or more a week for three weeks in a row (€200 if you’re 25 or younger), the operator must stop taking your credit-card deposits (arts. 3 and 21).
  • Risky behavior: players flagged by the operator’s risk-detection system can only use payment methods in their own name, and no credit cards (art. 30).

Botemanía and Codere Casino describe these blocks on their own sites. Otherwise, some casinos do take credit cards: bet365 Casino lists Visa and Mastercard credit cards, and its terms warn that your card issuer may treat a gambling deposit as a cash advance.

Fees

None of the five lists its own fee for standard deposits or withdrawals as of October 1, 2026. 888casino says it charges no fees on any withdrawal method, Botemanía none on deposits or withdrawals, and Codere Casino none on deposits and no extra cost on payouts; Betway Casino advertises its methods as “sin comisiones” (without fees), and bet365 Casino doesn’t charge for card deposits.

Others may still charge you:

  • Banks, card issuers and e-wallets: 888casino notes that your bank or payment processor may charge, and Codere Casino says MuchBetter’s fees are yours to pay.
  • Inactivity fees: once an account has been inactive for 365 days and you’ve been notified, bet365 Casino can deduct €2 or 5% of your balance, whichever is higher, every 28 days. Botemanía may charge €20 a month after 24 months without transactions.

What to do if a withdrawal is late

  1. Check the stated time. Add the casino’s processing step to the method’s own time: Botemanía approves requests within 24 hours, and 888casino processes them within one business day, before the money moves.
  2. Check your verification. Withdrawals aren’t paid until your identity is verified, so upload any documents the casino has asked for.
  3. Contact support with the date, amount and method of the withdrawal.
  4. Make a formal complaint. bet365 Casino, 888casino, Botemanía and Codere Casino each say they decide complaints within about a month; 888casino, Botemanía and Codere Casino ask you to complain within three months of the problem.
  5. Escalate. If you’re still not paid, all four point to the regulator as the next step, and bet365 Casino also names eCOGRA, a dispute-resolution service that costs you nothing.

If you register in the RGIAJ, your accounts are suspended, but you can still withdraw your balance at no cost (Royal Decree 176/2023, art. 31).

The bottom line

Bizum, PayPal and cards are accepted at all five casinos in our ranking, but check how you’ll get paid before you deposit: at bet365 Casino, 888casino and Botemanía, Bizum is deposit-only. Get verified before you need a payout, keep deposits within limits that fit your budget, and don’t gamble on credit. Frequently asked questions

Can I withdraw casino winnings with Bizum in Spain?

Not at bet365 Casino, 888casino or Botemanía, which take Bizum for deposits only and pay winnings by bank transfer or another method. Codere Casino's withdrawal page doesn't list Bizum either, and Betway Casino's withdrawal options couldn't be verified as of October 1, 2026.

What is the minimum deposit at Spanish online casinos?

Among the five casinos in our ranking, it's €5 at bet365 Casino for cards, Apple Pay and some e-wallets, and €10 at 888casino, Botemanía and Betway Casino. Codere Casino takes €10 by most methods and €1 by instant bank transfer.

How long do casino withdrawals take in Spain?

It depends on the casino and method. As of October 1, 2026, bet365 Casino lists 1–4 hours, Codere Casino under 2 minutes by instant bank transfer at most banks and up to 8 hours by PayPal, and Botemanía up to 24 hours for approval plus 1–5 business days to cards. Bank transfers can take up to 8 business days at 888casino and Botemanía.

Why hasn't my casino withdrawal arrived?

Licensed operators can't pay any prize until they've verified your identity, so check that verification is complete first. Then allow for the processing step and the method's own time; if the money is still late, contact support, use the casino's complaints procedure and, if needed, escalate to the regulator.

Can I use a credit card at Spanish online casinos?

Some casinos accept them; bet365 Casino lists Visa and Mastercard credit cards. But Royal Decree 176/2023 bars credit-card deposits for players classed as intensive (net losses of €600 or more a week for three weeks, or €200 if you're 25 or younger) or at risk.

Do Spanish online casinos charge fees?

None of the five casinos in our ranking lists its own fee for standard deposits or withdrawals as of October 1, 2026. Your bank, card issuer or e-wallet may still charge, and bet365 Casino and Botemanía can charge inactivity fees on accounts left dormant for 12 or 24 months.
