What is Codere Casino?

Codere Casino is the online casino at www.codere.es, run by Codere Online SAU, a company registered in Melilla that has been licensed by Spain’s gambling regulator, the Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling (Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego, DGOJ), since June 2012. It ranks #5 in our ranking of the best online casinos in Spain and is our pick for fast payouts.

Codere Online SAU belongs to Codere Online Luxembourg (Nasdaq: CDRO), which is 66.3% owned by the Spanish Codere Group. It licenses the Codere brand from the group and relies on it for its platform, customer support and cybersecurity; the group recapitalized about 90% of its debt in October 2024 after several restructurings. Codere reports €90.5 million of revenue in Spain in 2025, from sports betting and casino combined.

Is Codere Casino legal in Spain?

Yes. Codere Online SAU holds the DGOJ licenses for the casino games it offers, and the DGOJ register lists www.codere.es among its domains. Spain’s Gambling Act (Ley 13/2011) requires licensed operators to use a .es domain, and you must be 18 or over to play.

Since 2021, the DGOJ’s register of sanction resolutions lists six cases against Codere Online, all “grave” (serious), with €530,500 imposed and €318,300 paid after the legal reductions; no “muy grave” (very serious) case was found. Two involved people registered in the RGIAJ (Registro General de Interdicciones de Acceso al Juego), Spain’s national self-exclusion register, who were allowed to gamble.

That’s the longest list among the casinos we rank: 888casino has five resolutions and the other three one or two each. Codere Casino games

Codere’s casino page promises “más de 500 juegos” (more than 500 games), but its return report for March to August 2026 lists 1,842 titles from 12 provider sections, though some were only available for part of that period.

• Slots: the largest sections are Playtech, Pragmatic Play, Microgaming and Evolution (including NetEnt slots such as Starburst), plus MGA, EGT Digital, Zitro and Play’n GO.
• Live roulette: Spanish-named tables from Evolution (such as Ruleta En Vivo and Ruleta Relámpago En Vivo) and Playtech (such as Coderista Ruleta en Vivo, Casiopea and Quantum). The DGOJ authorized Codere’s live roulette in February 2017.
• Blackjack: Codere’s casino page advertises “Blackjack Live” tables, such as Infinite Blackjack and Speed Blackjack, but its own return report lists only RNG blackjack, the DGOJ register shows a live authorization for roulette only, and Spain’s blackjack rules have no live variant. We found no evidence that Codere offers live blackjack, or the live American roulette its page also mentions.

The report gives each game’s actual monthly return, which swings: in March 2026, 40 Crown Hit returned 63.70%, while most titles ran between 85% and 100% from month to month.

Codere Casino bonus and promotions

At the time of writing (October 2026), Codere’s casino welcome bonus is worth half your first deposit, up to €100, and comes with a sports bet credit that has its own conditions on Codere’s site. The casino bonus needs a minimum deposit of €20 and is paid as bonus funds; you must wager the bonus amount 30 times within 4 days, and the winnings it releases are capped at €500.

Other conditions from the offer’s terms:

• It’s for new customers registered since December 16, 2024, who opt in through a pop-up after registering, within 30 days; decline the pop-up twice and you lose the offer.
• The bonus is credited within three business days and works on every game in the casino section.
• You can’t take another deposit promotion for 30 days after opting in, and the offer states no maximum bet.

Worked example. Deposit €200, and the casino bonus is €100 in bonus funds. You then need to bet 30 × €100 = €3,000 within 4 days, about €750 a day. If the slots you play return 96% on average (a 4% house edge), €3,000 of bets costs about €120 in the long run, more than the €100 bonus is worth. Codere also runs weekly slot promotions and provider tournaments, each subject to conditions on its site. Its VIP program is invitation-only and limited to verified players over 25.

Deposits and withdrawals

Payments are Codere’s strongest point. It says instant bank-transfer withdrawals usually arrive in under 2 minutes at most banks and PayPal withdrawals within 8 hours, and it takes Bizum (Spain’s instant bank-payment app), cards, e-wallets and cash at Codere venues, with no deposit fees.

If your first deposit is by PayPal, you must also withdraw by PayPal. Before your first withdrawal, you must have placed a bet and passed an automated selfie-and-ID check.

Codere has no separate casino app on iOS: the casino sits inside “Codere: Apuestas Deportivas ES”, rated 4.46 out of 5 from 748 ratings on Apple’s Spanish App Store as of October 1, 2026. On Android, the dedicated “Codere: Casino Online España” app scored 4.44 from 855 ratings on Google Play in Spain, with more than 100,000 downloads. Sessions end after 20 minutes of inactivity, and the site shows a clock and your last login time.

Safety and customer support

Codere is licensed and supervised by the DGOJ. Spanish rules require every licensed site to link a “Juego más seguro” (safer gambling) page from its home page, and Codere’s responsible gambling and casino pages list these tools:

• Deposit limits, with the defaults above.
• Loss and session-time limits, including a time and spending limit before each slots session, plus reality checks at least every 60 minutes.
• Temporary self-exclusion from one week to six months, or permanent closure of your account.
