bet365 Casino vs Codere Casino: the key differences
bet365 Casino is #1 in our ranking of online casinos licensed in Spain, and Codere Casino is #5 and our pick for fast payouts. Both have held licenses from Spain’s gambling regulator, the Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling (Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego, DGOJ), since June 1, 2012, and both take Bizum (Spain’s instant bank-payment app), PayPal and cards. bet365 Casino leads on its regulatory record, game range, bonus terms and app ratings; Codere Casino leads on instant bank payouts, cash options and phone support.
As of October 1, 2026:
- Regulatory record: a warning and one €10,000 fine since 2021 for bet365’s Spanish licensees; six resolutions (€530,500 imposed) for Codere Online, two over self-excluded players allowed to play.
- Payouts: Codere says instant bank-transfer withdrawals usually arrive in under 2 minutes at most banks, and it pays out cash at its venues; bet365 Casino lists most methods, including PayPal, at one to four hours.
- Games: bet365 Casino’s RTP table lists 2,560 slot-type games; Codere’s return report lists 1,842 titles.
- Bonus time limit: both casino bonuses are bonus funds with 30x wagering, but bet365 Casino allows 30 days after a €10 minimum deposit, Codere Casino 4 days after a €20 one.
- Support: Codere’s phone line answers 24/7; bet365 Casino’s live chat runs 24/7, provided by an AI agent according to its help pages.
Licensing and track record
This is the biggest gap. Since 2021, the DGOJ has issued two resolutions against bet365’s Spanish licensees, both serious (grave) and both over promotions: a 2022 written warning and a 2023 €10,000 fine (€6,000 paid) for giving bonuses to 17 players whose accounts were under 30 days old, under a rule the Supreme Court annulled in 2024.
Codere Online SAU has six in the same period, all serious, with €530,500 imposed and €318,300 paid. Two involved the RGIAJ (Registro General de Interdicciones de Acceso al Juego), Spain’s national self-exclusion register: in 2021 several registered players were allowed to play (€153,000), and in 2023 one played with real money (€125,000). The others concerned deposit-limit controls (€125,000 in 2023; €17,500 in 2025, self-reported), Facebook posts that could appeal to minors (€100,000 in 2024) and advertising (€10,000 in 2022).
Larger operators have more players and more exposure, and Codere averaged about 52,000 monthly active players in Spain in 2025. Even so, its record is heavier than bet365’s in number of cases, amounts and kind of breach: bet365’s two cases were about promotion rules. Codere says it checks new registrations against the RGIAJ before activating accounts.
Payouts and banking
Codere Casino’s standout is its instant bank transfer, the main reason it’s our pick for fast payouts; bet365 Casino is quicker by PayPal and has lower minimums:
Bizum is for deposits at both: bet365 pays out by bank transfer instead, and Codere doesn’t list it for withdrawals. At both, you must verify your identity before your first withdrawal, and at Codere a first deposit by PayPal means withdrawing by PayPal too. Our guide to casino payments in Spain compares the methods.
Bonuses
bet365 Casino’s welcome terms give you far more time. At the time of writing (October 2026):
- bet365 Casino: a 100% match up to €200 from a €10 minimum deposit, paid as bonus funds that must be wagered 30 times within 30 days on 20 selected slots, with a maximum bet of 10% of the bonus. It adds five €1 golden chips for RNG roulette and blackjack (used within 7 days each), whose winnings are withdrawable without wagering.
- Codere Casino: a casino bonus worth half your first deposit, up to €100, from a €20 minimum deposit, paid as bonus funds that must be wagered 30 times within 4 days, with the winnings it releases capped at €500. It’s part of a split welcome offer whose sports bet credit has its own conditions on Codere’s site.
For the same €100 bonus, you’d deposit €100 at bet365 Casino or €200 at Codere Casino, then bet €3,000: within 30 days at bet365, or within 4 days, about €750 a day, at Codere. Every casino game has a house edge, so neither bonus will make you money on average; our guide to casino bonuses in Spain shows how to value an offer.
Games
bet365 Casino has the bigger catalog. Its RTP table listed 2,560 slot-type games on September 22, 2026, from a lobby with 44 providers, with six months of actual returns for each. Codere’s return report for March to August 2026 lists 1,842 titles from 12 provider sections, with monthly returns.
Live casino at both is mostly roulette from Evolution and Playtech, with Spanish-named tables, and bet365 Casino adds game shows. Spain’s blackjack rules have no live variant: Codere’s casino page advertises “Blackjack Live”, but its own return report lists only RNG blackjack.
Which should you choose?
Choose bet365 Casino if you want the lighter DGOJ record, more games and 30 days rather than 4 to meet bonus wagering (30x at both, on bonus funds, from €10 and €20 minimum deposits). Its main app, which has a casino tab, is rated 4.68 on iOS from 115,072 ratings, against 4.46 from 748 for Codere’s combined app; bet365’s dedicated casino app scores 3.84.
Choose Codere Casino if instant bank-transfer payouts, cash at a Codere venue or a 24/7 phone line matter most, and weigh that against its six DGOJ resolutions, including the two self-exclusion cases.
Using both only makes sense if each covers a need the other doesn’t; it won’t improve your chances. Each account has its own deposit limits (by default €600 a day, €1,500 a week and €3,000 a month), and from March 25, 2027, joint limits across all operators also apply: €700 a day, €1,750 a week and €3,300 per four weeks. If you need to stop, the RGIAJ bars you from every licensed operator; see our guide to gambling help in Spain. Compare all five in our full ranking of Spain’s licensed online casinos.
