Is this sportsbook legal in my province?

What the results mean

Gambling in Canada is run or licensed by each province. Private sportsbooks are regulated only in Ontario and Alberta; everywhere else, the provincial site is the only legal one. The check sorts every site into one of these groups.

• Regulated in Ontario or Alberta A private operator registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and live through iGaming Ontario, or registered with Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis under an agreement with the Alberta iGaming Corporation. It’s legal only while you’re physically in the province where it’s registered, and only at the exact web address on that province’s list.
• Provincial site Run by a province’s own lottery or gaming corporation, for players in that province. Outside Ontario and Alberta, the provincial site is the only legal place to gamble online.
• No longer regulated here Was on a Canadian province’s list of regulated sites but isn’t any more. Don’t deposit at its old addresses; if you had an account, contact the operator about your balance.
• Not licensed in Canada No Canadian province runs or licenses it, so it isn’t a legal option anywhere in Canada, whatever licence it shows from Kahnawake, Malta, Curaçao or elsewhere. If it doesn’t pay, there’s no Canadian regulator to complain to.
