What is BetMGM?

BetMGM is a sportsbook and online casino run in the Netherlands by 21 Heads Up Limited of Sliema, Malta, which BetMGM’s help centre describes as a subsidiary of the LeoVegas Mobile Gaming Group. It ranks #1 in our ranking of the best betting sites in the Netherlands.

Is BetMGM licensed in the Netherlands?

Yes. 21 Heads Up Limited holds Ksa licence 2080 for online casino games and sports betting, valid from July 19, 2023 to July 19, 2028, and betmgm.nl is the website the Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa) lists for it in its Kansspelwijzer. Its own site gives the full licence reference, 2080/01.294.774.

The Ksa has never fined or formally sanctioned 21 Heads Up Limited, as far as its published decisions show. Its one public mark is a warning on June 2, 2025, for an advertorial that featured a minor footballer, which broke the ban on using role models in gambling advertising, and for not reporting the incident itself. A separate licensee in the same group, LeoVegas Gaming p.l.c., was fined €500,000 for failing its duty of care between October 2023 and May 2024; that fine isn’t BetMGM’s, but the limits you set at BetMGM apply to all your accounts within LeoVegas Gaming Plc. Sports, markets and features

BetMGM takes live bets on ten sports: football, darts, tennis, basketball, table tennis, ice hockey, cricket, handball, snooker and volleyball, with live statistics and, where available, livestreams. It has Eredivisie markets, and its betting rules allow bets that combine outcomes and events within one match. Cash out is available on selected events, before and during matches, on singles and multiples. Like every licensed Dutch sportsbook, it may not take bets on matches between players under 21, on amateur and youth competitions, or on events such as yellow cards and corners; our guide to sports betting law in the Netherlands explains the full list.

Odds and limits

BetMGM doesn’t publish its margins, and we don’t collect its odds: its terms forbid using “any automatic or manual device” to monitor its website or its content. Our margin calculator shows what any market costs you.

It does publish its limits. The net payout, your winnings after the stake, is capped at €200,000 on any bet or combination of bets per account holder, and the minimum stake is €0.10.

Deposits and withdrawals

You can deposit by iDEAL | Wero or Trustly, from €10 to €3,000 per deposit; BetMGM’s terms say some deposit methods may carry a fee, shown in the wallet. Withdrawals go through Trustly, with no minimum and up to €10,000 at a time. BetMGM says the money is usually in your account within minutes, but asks you to allow up to 5 working days, and its terms say it aims to process requests within 24 hours. It charges no withdrawal fees and doesn’t pay out to credit cards.

App and experience

The BetMGM NL Casino & Sport app is rated 4.70 out of 5 from 757 ratings on the Dutch App Store and 4.5 from 321 reviews on Google Play, with more than 10,000 downloads (October 23, 2026).

Safety, responsible gambling and support

As Dutch law requires, you set a session limit and a deposit limit when you sign up, and BetMGM adds a balance limit; increases only take effect after a week. You can block casino, live casino or sport separately, take a break from 1 day to 6 months or exclude yourself indefinitely, and BetMGM imposes a 30-second break after every hour of continuous play. Under 24, your net deposits are capped at €300 a calendar month and the cap can’t be raised; from 24 it’s €700, which you can raise to at most 30% of your verified net monthly income. BetMGM checks Cruks, the national exclusion register, when you sign up and every time you log in.

BetMGM combines a record the Ksa has never had to fine, clear published limits, round-the-clock support and fast, free withdrawals, which puts it at the top of our Dutch ranking.
