#6 of 7 best online casinos in Canada

Our verdict: best casino-only brand

7.7 /10

Jackpot City is the most popular casino-only brand we review: its iOS app is rated 4.5 from more than 25,000 ratings on Canada's App Store, it advertises 1,000+ games, and it offers 24/7 live chat and a French-language site. It's registered in Ontario and Alberta. It ranks sixth because every withdrawal sits pending for at least 24 hours before processing starts, its public pages are vague on payout times, and its iOS app listing says it's for players in "the rest of Canada" too, where no province licenses it.

What is Jackpot City?

Jackpot City is an online casino run in Canada by Cadtree Limited, a company registered in Alderney, which also runs Spin Casino, Royal Vegas and Ruby Fortune in Ontario and Alberta. Unlike most of our ranking, it’s a casino-only brand, with no sportsbook. It ranks #6 in our ranking of the best online casinos in Canada.

In Ontario and Alberta, yes:

Province Regulator Status
Ontario AGCO, through iGaming Ontario Registered since June 23, 2022 (OPIG1236392), at jackpotcity.ca/ontario. 19+.
Alberta AGLC, through the Alberta iGaming Corporation On the Alberta iGaming Corporation’s list of registered sites, at jackpotcity.ca/alberta. 18+.

Two things are worth knowing. Its iOS app listing says Jackpot City is “intended for players 19+ in Ontario. 18+ in Alberta and the rest of Canada”, but outside Ontario and Alberta no province licenses private online casinos, so we only link to its Ontario and Alberta sites. And its Ontario homepage calls iGaming Ontario “the official regulator”; iGaming Ontario conducts and manages the market, while the AGCO regulates it. See online casino laws by province, or check any site with our licence check.

Games

Jackpot City’s Ontario site advertises “over 1000 games”, and its slots page counts more than 400 slots, from classic three-reel games to progressive jackpots. Live roulette, blackjack and baccarat come from On Air Entertainment, a Games Global affiliate launched in December 2020. Jackpot City says each game’s return to player is shown when you launch it.

Deposits and withdrawals

Jackpot City’s Ontario site lists Interac, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and eCheck, and says the minimum deposit generally starts at $10, depending on the method.

Withdrawals are slower to start than at bet365 or DraftKings. Under its Ontario withdrawal policy, every withdrawal stays pending for at least 24 hours, a “reverse withdrawal period” in which you can cancel it, and requests made between Thursday and Sunday morning stay reversible until Monday at 05:00 GMT. After that, timing depends on the method and your bank. The site advertises “instant withdrawals” but doesn’t publish times per method, and it may ask for verification documents first.

App and experience

Jackpot City’s iOS app is rated 4.5 out of 5 from 25,519 ratings on Canada’s App Store, and its Android app 4.1 from about 2,000 ratings on Google Play, where it has been downloaded more than 100,000 times (October 22, 2026).

Safety, responsible gambling and support

We found no AGCO penalty naming Cadtree Limited or Jackpot City in the regulator’s news releases as of October 22, 2026. Jackpot City offers deposit and play-time limits, with a 24-hour delay on increases, and self-exclusion of six months or more, which you can set on the site or through support. Its responsible gaming page links to ConnexOntario, the Responsible Gambling Council, Gamblers Anonymous and the BetBlocker app. In Ontario, BetGuard also excludes you from every regulated site at once.

Support is available 24/7 by live chat and email, and the Ontario site comes in English and French.

Who is Jackpot City best for?

  • Mobile players who want a well-rated, casino-only app.
  • French speakers in Ontario.
  • Not for players who want their winnings fast or want payout times in writing.

Our verdict

Jackpot City is a popular, well-supported casino with a strong iOS app and 24/7 chat in English and French. It ranks sixth because of its 24-hour minimum pending period, its lack of published payout times and its loose wording about where it serves players.
