What is bet365?

bet365 is an online sportsbook and casino whose UK app listing calls it the UK’s most downloaded sports betting app and the official global betting partner of the UEFA Champions League. In the UK its sportsbook is run by Hillside (UK Sports) ENC, a partnership registered in Malta, and its casino, poker and bingo by Hillside (UK Gaming) ENC. It ranks #2 in our ranking of the best betting sites in the UK.

A note on our sources: bet365’s UK site and help pages block visitors from outside the UK, so this review relies on the Gambling Commission’s register and records, bet365’s UK App Store and Google Play listings, and Internet Archive copies of its UK terms (December 2025), deposit page (December 2025) and maximum-winnings page (May 2026). We found no archived UK copy of its withdrawal, cash out or support pages.

Is bet365 licensed in the UK?

Yes. Hillside (UK Sports) ENC has held a Gambling Commission licence for remote betting on real and virtual events and pool betting since October 17, 2019 (account 55148, licence 055148-R-331498-002), and bet365.com is on the Commission’s public register.

In April 2024, bet365’s two UK licensees agreed to pay £582,120 in a regulatory settlement: £239,085 from Hillside (UK Sports) ENC and £343,035 from Hillside (UK Gaming) ENC. A March 2022 compliance assessment had found failures to prevent money laundering and to interact effectively with customers at risk of harm, between 2021 and 2022. We found no other action against either in the Commission’s regulatory action register, which covers decisions since November 2023, or in its enforcement news since March 2021. Sports, markets and features

bet365’s app listing covers football, horse racing, boxing, darts, basketball, golf and tennis, with thousands of in-play markets, and its UK maximum-winnings page runs from football and racing to esports, pickleball and drone racing. It streams what it calls hundreds of thousands of events a year, and Bet Builder+ combines popular markets into one bet, before and during games. Match Live and Bet Track follow your bets in play. We couldn’t check bet365’s UK rules for cash out, editing a bet or Best Odds Guaranteed, which its help pages explain only to UK visitors.

Odds and limits

bet365 doesn’t publish its margins, and we don’t collect its odds: its UK terms let it act against anyone who uses automated systems to extract data from its services, including “odds and betting figures”, which it calls screen scraping. Our margin calculator shows what any market costs you.

Its payout caps are the highest we found. The May 2026 copy of its UK maximum-winnings page caps winnings per 24 hours, excluding your stake, at £2,000,000 on the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Championship, Leagues One and Two, and the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League; £1,000,000 on UK and Irish horse racing with an industry starting price; and £500,000 on golf. That’s four times Sky Bet’s cap on the Premier League and twice William Hill’s.

Deposits and withdrawals

The December 2025 copy of bet365’s UK deposit page lists debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Electron and Maestro, with prepaid cards accepted), Apple Pay, Google Pay and Pay by Bank, all instant and from £5 to £20,000, plus PayPal from £25 to £5,500. Like every licensed bookmaker, bet365 can’t take credit cards.

We couldn’t check its withdrawal times, minimums or fees: its UK withdrawal page blocks visitors from outside the UK, and we found no archived UK copy. Check them in the app before your first deposit.

App and experience

bet365’s app is the most-rated betting app we found in the UK: 4.73 out of 5 from 454,548 ratings on the App Store and 4.59 from 266,602 on Google Play, with more than 5 million downloads (October 22, 2026). It learns which sports you bet on, lets you follow your teams on a My Teams page and, with Bet Track, keeps your in-play bets in view in widgets and the iPhone’s Dynamic Island.

bet365’s app listing names time-outs, deposit limits, reality checks and self-exclusion among its tools, and like every licensee it takes part in GAMSTOP. We couldn’t check how the limits work, or its support channels and hours, from outside the UK.
