What is Sky Bet?

Sky Bet is the sportsbook of Sky Betting & Gaming, which also runs Sky Vegas, Sky Casino, Sky Bingo and Sky Poker; one account works across all of them, and the Sky trademarks are used under licence. It only accepts bets online, in its apps and, where available, through interactive TV. It ranks #1 in our ranking of the best betting sites in the UK.

Is Sky Bet licensed in the UK?

Yes. SBG Sports Limited, registered in Malta, has held a Gambling Commission licence for remote betting on real and virtual events and pool betting since October 6, 2025 (account 67370, licence 067370-R-341330-006), and www.skybet.com and m.skybet.com are on the Commission’s public register. Before that, skybet.com was licensed through Bonne Terre Limited, which had held a licence since November 1, 2014 and surrendered it on October 31, 2025; Sky Bet’s App Store listing still names Bonne Terre Limited.

We found no fine, settlement or other regulatory action against either company in the Commission’s regulatory action register, which covers decisions since November 2023, or in its enforcement news since March 2021. Sky Bet says it holds customer funds at the Commission’s “Medium” level of protection. Check any site with our UK licence check.

Sports, markets and features

Sky Bet’s help centre has betting rules for more than 60 sports and other events, from football, horse racing and greyhounds to darts, esports, politics and TV shows such as Strictly Come Dancing. You can bet in-play, build your own bet on a football match with BuildABet (up to 10 selections, and several BuildABets can go into one accumulator), or pick from thousands of pre-priced RequestABets. Cash out works on singles, multiples and accumulators, before and during events and between legs, though not on every market. Logged-in customers can stream several in-play events free, with a delay of 2 to 5 seconds; its app listing adds that a qualifying bet unlocks streams of UK and Irish horse races and selected football matches.

Best Odds Guaranteed is the catch for racing fans: it’s only for customers who qualify for Sky Bet Club, which you join by opting in and meeting a weekly staking target. Qualifiers are paid at the starting price if it beats the price they took, on the win or each-way market of UK and Irish races, for bets placed from 9am on race day.

Odds and limits

Like the other bookmakers in our ranking, Sky Bet doesn’t publish its margins, and we don’t collect its odds: its terms say the odds on its sites are “for Your personal use only” and ban bots and AI tools. Our margin calculator shows what any market costs you.

Sky Bet does publish its maximum payouts, per customer per day whatever the stake: £500,000 on the Premier League, the EFL, the FA Cup and League Cup, LaLiga, Serie A, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1, MLS, the Champions League and Europa League; £250,000 on other football and on horse racing with an industry starting price; £100,000 on covered greyhound meetings; and £25,000 on politics and other non-sporting events. That’s a quarter of bet365’s £2 million cap on the Premier League. We didn’t find a published minimum stake.

Deposits and withdrawals

You can deposit by debit card (up to three on your account), Apple Pay, Pay by Bank and Revolut Pay; like every licensed bookmaker, Sky Bet doesn’t take credit cards. Pay by Bank has no minimum deposit, and Revolut Pay starts at £5. Its help centre doesn’t list PayPal.

Pay by Bank and card withdrawals start at £5 and are among the fastest we found. Pay by Bank withdrawals appear in your bank immediately, though Sky Bet asks you to allow 90 minutes the first time; withdrawals to Visa and participating Mastercard cards arrive in 1 to 4 hours, and to other cards in 2 to 5 working days. Revolut Pay withdrawals are usually instant, free and have no minimum. Sky Bet charges no dormant account fees.

App and experience

Sky Bet’s app is rated 4.67 out of 5 from 86,905 ratings on the UK App Store and 4.64 from 58,437 on Google Play, with more than a million downloads (October 22, 2026); that’s the best Android rating in our top five. You can track and cash out every bet from My Bets, and log in with Touch or Face ID.

Safety, responsible gambling and support

Sky Bet has a wide set of tools: a profit and loss view, deposit limits and net deposit limits (decreases apply at once, increases after a cooling-off period), cool-offs of 1 to 30 days that can’t be lifted early, and self-exclusion for 6 months to 5 years from Sky Bet alone or from all its products, or permanently from all of them. A full self-exclusion also applies to matched UK accounts at Paddy Power, Betfair, tombola and PokerStars. Sky Bet may also set a daily time limit itself if you spend long periods transacting, and it checks affordability with TransUnion, which leaves a soft search on your credit file but doesn’t affect your credit score. It takes part in GAMSTOP and GamProtect.

Support is by live chat from the help centre; we couldn’t find its hours, and the help centre gives a phone number, 0808 168 9222, only for customers whose deposits have been blocked.
