Paddy Power review 2026
Best Odds Guaranteed on all UK and Irish racing for customers who opt in, partial cash out and free in-play streams in its 2025 help pages, and the best-rated iOS app in our top five.
Paddy Power is the pick for racing fans and in-play bettors. In the most recent copies of its help pages we could read (January to July 2025), it offered Best Odds Guaranteed on all UK and Irish horse racing to customers who opt in, partial cash out, free streams of in-play events, 10p minimum stakes and a £1 million daily payout cap, and paid instant bank transfer withdrawals immediately. Its iOS app, rated 4.74 from more than 266,000 ratings, is the best rated in our top five. It ranks third because its operator was part of a £2 million settlement with the Gambling Commission in December 2025, and because its UK help pages block visitors from outside the UK, so its terms may have changed since 2025.

What is Paddy Power?
Paddy Power is a bookmaker with an online sportsbook, casino and games. In the UK its sportsbook is run by PPB Counterparty Services Limited, registered in Malta, which also holds the betting licence behind Betfair’s sportsbook; Paddy Power’s terms (July 2025 copy) describe its licensed companies as wholly owned subsidiaries of Flutter Entertainment plc. It ranks #3 in our ranking of the best betting sites in the UK.
A note on our sources: Paddy Power’s site and help centre block visitors from outside the UK, so this review relies on the Gambling Commission’s register and records, Paddy Power’s UK App Store and Google Play listings, and Internet Archive copies of its help pages from January to July 2025. Its terms may have changed since.
Is Paddy Power licensed in the UK?
Yes. PPB Counterparty Services Limited has held a Gambling Commission licence for remote betting on real events since November 1, 2014 and on virtual events since October 3, 2017 (account 39439, licence 039439-R-319330-013), and www.paddypower.com is on the Commission’s public register. Its casino and bingo are licensed to PPB Entertainment, PPB GE and PPB Games.
On December 17, 2025, four licensees trading as Paddy Power and Betfair, PPB Counterparty Services, PPB Entertainment, Betfair Casino and TSE Malta LP, agreed to pay £2 million in a settlement with the Commission. An April and May 2024 assessment of paddypower.com and betfair.com had found customer interaction failures: in one case, a customer deposited £12,000 in 15 days before being identified for review. We found no other action against PPB Counterparty Services in the Commission’s regulatory action register, which covers decisions since November 2023, or in its enforcement news since March 2021. Sports, markets and features
Paddy Power’s app listing covers football, horse racing, boxing, rugby, tennis, golf, darts, snooker and F1, with Bet Builder+ for selections across several games, Popular Bet Builder, Power Prices and Mix ‘N’ Match, and Super Sub, which moves a player bet to the substitute if your player comes off. It says you can watch more than 100,000 live events a year. In its January 2025 help pages, logged-in customers could stream in-play football, tennis, golf and more free, and races from the UK, Ireland, the US, South Africa and India with a funded account. Cash out included a partial cash out slider and a “Confirm Before Cash Out” switch.
Best Odds Guaranteed was the most open in our top five. In the January 2025 copy of its help pages, it applied to all UK and Irish horse racing from 8am on race day, to singles and multiples, win or each-way, for any customer who opts in on its promotions page; ante-post, in-running and international racing didn’t qualify. The extra paid out is capped at £1,000 a day, and Paddy Power reserves the right to exclude selected customers.
Odds and limits
Paddy Power doesn’t publish its margins, and we don’t collect its odds: its terms let it void bets it suspects were placed “robotically, by automated means” and ban betting bots. Our margin calculator shows what any market costs you.
In January 2025, its minimum stake was usually 10p, and its overall maximum payout was £1,000,000 per customer per day across the sportsbook, with lower limits on some events, such as £100,000 a day on UK greyhound races covered in full and £50,000 on greyhound ante-post bets.
Deposits and withdrawals
According to the July 2025 copy of its withdrawals page, instant bank transfer withdrawals arrive immediately, from 1p; withdrawals to Visa and participating Mastercard cards arrive in 1 to 4 hours, and to other cards in 2 to 5 working days; PayPal, Skrill and Neteller take 12 to 24 hours, and Apple Pay 2 to 3 working days. Paddy Power said it doesn’t charge for debit card transactions or inactive accounts. We couldn’t check its current minimum deposit.
App and experience
Paddy Power’s iOS app is the best rated in our top five: 4.74 out of 5 from 266,407 ratings on the UK App Store. On Google Play it scores 4.30 from 44,425 ratings, with more than a million downloads (October 22, 2026). A Bet Builder Tracker and ACCA Stats follow your bets.
Safety, responsible gambling and support
Its January 2025 help pages offered deposit and loss limits, Take a Break and self-exclusion; a self-exclusion also covered other brands in its group, though not tombola or Paddy Power’s shops. Affordability budgets used data including a soft credit check, which doesn’t affect your credit score. Like every licensee, Paddy Power takes part in GAMSTOP. Support is by messaging through “Message us”; we couldn’t check its hours.

Who is Paddy Power best for?
- Racing fans who want Best Odds Guaranteed without an invitation.
- In-play bettors who like to cash out part of a bet.
- iPhone users, with the best-rated iOS app in our top five.
- Not for bettors who want a regulator’s record without a recent settlement.
Our verdict
Paddy Power’s racing offer, partial cash out and app put it third in our UK ranking. Its December 2025 settlement, and terms we could only check in 2025 copies, keep it behind Sky Bet and bet365. Compare it in our UK ranking, or see the best Paddy Power alternatives.

Paddy Power FAQ
Is Paddy Power legal in the UK?
Yes. Paddy Power's sportsbook is run by PPB Counterparty Services Limited, which has held a Gambling Commission licence for remote betting since November 1, 2014 (account 39439), and paddypower.com is on the Commission's public register. Check any site with our UK licence check.
Does Paddy Power have Best Odds Guaranteed?
It did on all UK and Irish horse racing in the January 2025 copy of its help pages: opt in on its promotions page, take a price from 8am on race day, and if the starting price is bigger, you're paid at the bigger odds, on singles and multiples, win or each-way. Ante-post, in-running and international racing don't qualify, the extra is capped at £1,000 a day, and Paddy Power can exclude customers.
How fast does Paddy Power pay out?
According to the July 2025 copy of its help pages, instant bank transfer withdrawals arrive immediately, Visa and participating Mastercard withdrawals in 1 to 4 hours (other cards 2 to 5 working days), PayPal, Skrill and Neteller in 12 to 24 hours, and Apple Pay in 2 to 3 working days. It doesn't charge for debit card transactions.
What's the minimum bet at Paddy Power?
Usually 10p, though it can vary by market (January 2025 copy). Streams of UK, Irish, US, South African and Indian horse racing were free with a funded account; some other countries' races needed a £1 bet, or 50p each-way.
Are Paddy Power and Betfair the same company?
They share a licensee: PPB Counterparty Services Limited holds the betting licence behind both paddypower.com and Betfair's sportsbook, and both brands were part of the same £2 million settlement in December 2025. The Betfair Exchange is licensed separately, to TSE Malta LP; see our Betfair Exchange review.
