BetMGM Casino vs FanDuel Casino: the key differences
BetMGM Casino is #1 in our ranking of the best US online casinos and FanDuel Casino is #2. They’re also the top two in Michigan, where FanDuel took 26.5% of online casino gross receipts in 2025 and BetMGM 25.3%. Both are licensed in the same four states, so the choice comes down to what you value most:
- Games: BetMGM offers over 7,000 titles across North America and 2,000 to 3,300+ per state; reviewers count about 1,500 to 2,000 at FanDuel.
- Rewards: BetMGM points convert to MGM Rewards for hotel stays and dining; FanDuel’s Rewards Club pays casino bonuses.
- Payouts: BetMGM reviews every withdrawal for up to five business days, while reviewers report FanDuel paying PayPal, Venmo and debit withdrawals within 24 hours.
- App: FanDuel’s casino app is rated 4.8 out of 5 from about 201,000 iOS ratings, BetMGM’s 4.7 from 147,868 (September 30, 2026).
- Entry point: FanDuel’s welcome offer needs a $5 deposit, BetMGM’s $10.
To play at either, you must be 21 or older and physically in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania or West Virginia, which geolocation checks before you play. Neither is available in Connecticut, Delaware or Rhode Island, although FanDuel runs the separate Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, and you shouldn’t use a VPN to get around the check. Games
BetMGM Casino has one of the largest libraries in the US; FanDuel Casino’s is smaller but has its own exclusives.
BetMGM says it offers over 7,000 titles across North America, with fewer in each state: from over 2,000 in West Virginia to more than 3,300 in New Jersey, according to its own pages. Its 25+ exclusive progressive jackpots include MGM Grand Millions, Bison Fury and 15 Lanterns, and it paid out $122.1 million in progressive jackpots in 2025. Covers counted about 120 table games and 100 live tables.
FanDuel has about 1,500 to 2,000 games, depending on the state and the reviewer. Its exclusives include Huff N’ Puff and Samurai 888 slots, Love Island: Unlocked, launched in June 2026, and FanDuel-exclusive live dealer tables. Its opt-in FanDuel Casino Jackpots cost $0.10 or $0.20 a spin in Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and FanDuel says more than 450,000 jackpots worth over $300 million had been won by November 2025.
Bonuses
Both welcome offers give 1,000 spins and we rate them equally, but FanDuel’s is cheaper to claim and lighter on wagering, while BetMGM’s has more parts. As of September 30, 2026:
On our reviews’ math, at a 96% slot return, BetMGM’s spins are worth about $115 after 10x wagering, assuming Covers’ $0.20 spin value, and its best wheel prize adds roughly $80. FanDuel’s $25 bonus is worth about $24 at 1x, and FanDuel advertises 1x playthrough on every casino promo; the value of its spins isn’t confirmed.
FanDuel’s offer isn’t open to anyone who has already wagered at FanDuel Sportsbook or FanDuel Casino, and some sources show a different package of 500 spins plus $50, so check the terms in your state. For existing players, BetMGM’s September 2026 promotions included Refer-a-Friend ($100 each) and a $50,000 monthly draw, while FanDuel runs a daily Spin Reward Machine with jackpots of up to $3,000 among its prizes.
Payouts and banking
FanDuel Casino pays out faster. BetMGM says every withdrawal first goes through an internal review that can take up to five business days; after approval, PayPal pays within 24 hours and Visa takes another 3–5 business days. Covers reports BetMGM approvals typically take two to three days, and the minimum withdrawal is $20.
At FanDuel, TheLines reports PayPal, Venmo and debit withdrawals within 24 hours, and Covers says requests are approved in one to two business days; the minimum is $10. FanDuel’s own banking pages couldn’t be checked, so these are reviewer reports.
BetMGM lists more ways to pay, including VIP Preferred e-check, cash at MGM casino cages and Apple Pay in mobile Safari, but deposits start at $10. FanDuel takes deposits from $5 by PayPal, Venmo, Visa, Mastercard, Play+, online banking, PayNearMe or wire, though Covers counts “only a handful of withdrawal methods” among its drawbacks.
Rewards
BetMGM Casino has the stronger loyalty program because its points work at resorts. Everyone starts at BetMGM Rewards’ Sapphire tier and earns up to 20 points per $100 wagered on slots, or up to 4 on live table games, with 10–40% bonus points at higher tiers. Points can buy bonuses, convert to MGM Rewards for hotel stays, dining and entertainment at 20+ MGM destinations, or be exchanged for Marriott Bonvoy points.
FanDuel’s Rewards Club, launched in spring 2025, gives points on every real-money dollar you play on slots, table games and live casino. It has five tiers, one of them invite-only, resets progress monthly and pays casino perks such as a weekly 5–25% Bonus Back, Reward Boxes and birthday bonuses rather than hotel stays or dining.
Which should you choose?
Choose BetMGM Casino if you:
- want the widest choice of games and exclusive progressive jackpots;
- stay or dine at MGM resorts, or collect Marriott Bonvoy points;
- don’t mind waiting up to five business days for a withdrawal review.
Choose FanDuel Casino if you:
- play mostly on your phone and want the best-rated casino app;
- want quick PayPal, Venmo or debit withdrawals;
- prefer a $5 start and 1x playthrough, and haven’t bet at FanDuel Sportsbook before.
