DraftKings Casino vs FanDuel Casino: the key differences
DraftKings Casino and FanDuel Casino sit side by side in our ranking of the best US online casinos, with FanDuel at #2 and DraftKings at #3. Both are licensed in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, both let you start with $5, and both let you play inside their sportsbook apps. They differ on four things:
- App: FanDuel’s casino app is rated 4.8 out of 5 from about 201,000 iOS ratings, against 4.7 from 110,375 for DraftKings’ (September 30, 2026).
- Payouts: reviewers report FanDuel paying PayPal, Venmo and debit withdrawals within 24 hours. DraftKings is as quick by debit card, but RotoWire lists up to two days for PayPal and Venmo.
- Games: DraftKings has the bigger library, roughly 2,000 to 2,500 games against about 1,500 to 2,000, and its in-house studio produced 36% of its casino handle in 2025.
- Connecticut: DraftKings is licensed there and FanDuel Casino isn’t, though FanDuel runs the state’s only other licensed online casino, Mohegan Sun Casino.
Whichever you choose, you must be 21 or older and physically in a state where the casino is licensed, which geolocation checks before you play. Outside those states you can’t legally play at either, so don’t use a VPN to get around the check. Our guide to where online casinos are legal covers every state.
Games
DraftKings Casino wins on games: it has the bigger library, and much of it is content you can’t play anywhere else. DraftKings says games from its in-house studio, such as Rainforest Fortune, Day Trader and Basketball Roulette, produced 36% of its casino handle in 2025. Its jackpot network, shared with Golden Nugget, has paid what DraftKings calls the largest online jackpot in history, $22 million.
FanDuel has exclusives too, from Huff N’ Puff and Samurai 888 slots to Love Island: Unlocked, launched in June 2026. Its opt-in FanDuel Casino Jackpots cost $0.10 or $0.20 a spin in Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and FanDuel says more than 450,000 jackpots worth over $300 million had been won by November 2025. Both casinos run Evolution live dealer games, including exclusive tables of their own.
Bonuses
Both welcome offers need only $5 and carry little or no wagering, and we rate them the same. The structure differs, as of September 30, 2026:
DraftKings’ offer is the easier one to value: RotoWire says spin winnings go straight to your cash balance, so our DraftKings review puts the spins at about $220 on average at a 96% return, if you log in on all 20 days. FanDuel’s $25 bonus is worth about $24 on the same assumption, but its spin value isn’t confirmed.
Check the terms in your state. FanDuel’s offer excludes anyone who has already wagered at FanDuel Sportsbook or FanDuel Casino, and some September sources show a different package of 500 spins plus $50. DraftKings’ operator terms list Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, while RotoWire also lists Connecticut. Casino bonuses explained shows how to value any offer.
Payouts and banking
FanDuel Casino pays out faster, according to reviewers, while DraftKings Casino lets you withdraw smaller amounts:
Other reviewers report slower times for both: Covers says FanDuel approves withdrawals in one to two business days, and Pokerfuse says most DraftKings requests are reviewed within two to three business days.
Both take $5 deposits by PayPal, Venmo or debit card. DraftKings also takes Apple Pay, gift cards and cash at a casino cage, but RotoWire says it stopped accepting credit card deposits on August 25, 2025. Covers counts “only a handful of withdrawal methods” among FanDuel’s drawbacks.
Apps and experience
FanDuel Casino has the better-rated app. Beyond the iOS ratings above, FanDuel’s combined Sportsbook & Casino app was rated 4.8 from 2.3 million ratings, though FanDuel’s Google Play rating couldn’t be verified; DraftKings’ casino app was rated 4.6 from 41,319 ratings on Google Play (September 30, 2026).
Much of DraftKings’ casino play happens in its sportsbook app: DraftKings says 62% of its casino handle comes from the casino inside the DraftKings Sportsbook app. Pokerfuse says the casino app sometimes “feels more like a sportsbook app that they later added a casino onto”, while Covers calls FanDuel’s app “top-notch”.
For help, DraftKings’ live chat runs 24/7 but starts with automated answers, and reviewers call its support hit-and-miss. FanDuel’s chat runs 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET, according to Covers, and FanDuel lets you set wager, loss and single-bet limits as well as deposit limits.
Which should you choose?
Choose FanDuel Casino if you:
- play mostly on your phone and want the best-rated casino app;
- want PayPal, Venmo or debit withdrawals that reviewers report within 24 hours;
- like simple bonus terms: FanDuel advertises 1x playthrough on every casino promo.
Choose DraftKings Casino if you:
- want in-house games and a jackpot network you won’t find at FanDuel;
- play in Connecticut, where it’s one of only two licensed online casinos;
- already bet in the DraftKings Sportsbook app, which has the casino built in;
- want to cash out small amounts, from $1 on most methods.
Neither offers hotel or dining perks: DraftKings’ Crowns are spent in its own store, and FanDuel’s Rewards Club pays casino bonuses such as a weekly 5–25% Bonus Back.
Using both can make sense if you’re 21 or older and in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania or West Virginia, since each has games the other doesn’t. Set a deposit limit at each.
